Pavilionul 32 is a band from Timisoara, Romania that plays a fast punk/hc with socio-political lyrics.
The group was founded in the summer of 2004 by a few militants trying to set up a DIY hardcorepunk comunity: Tripi (ex-Coercitiv) and Kleshta (ex-S 11, Km 13), along with Seba (ex-Colaps) and Coacaza (ex-Era Ticalosilor, Guranii, Stone Fixion, Transition2, etc.).
In the fall of 2004 the line-up was arranged: Kleshta - vocals, Coacaza - guitar, Kittie - bass, Seba - drums. One concert took place with this line-up with FALLEN INTO ASHES - Hungary, HAOS - Romania, NOMAN'S BAND - Romania.
As of the winter 2004-2005, Pavilionul 32 is: Kleshta - vocals, Kittie - guiar & vocals, Seba - drums, Alex - bass.
The name of the band comes from one of the sections of the psychiatric asylum from Timis. The most dangerous "insane" patients are locked up in Pavilionul 32, being too dangerous to be allowed to roam freely in society. At the same time, a few hundred meters away the "normal" kids and teens from the area use the expression "You're from 32!" to ironize those who behave or think "abnormaly." THe local priest was once cited in the newspaper saying: "I often get the sensation that the normal people are in asylum (P 32) and the insane ones roam freely in the area."
Musically, Pavilionul 32 plays a fast, aggressive hardcore/punk, influenced by: 80's old-school hc, 90's crust-core and current trash-core (to name a few).
As far as the lyrics, they can be divided into two sections. 1) The first would be a socio-political tendency... dealing with issues such as racism, corporatization, homophobia, nationalism... 2) The second would be dealing with more personal topics especially related ot the local(Romanian) HC/punk community.
